ABOUT THE CLUB
The BMW Classic Car Club of America is a Florida not-for-profit corporation and is the successor of the BMW Vintage & Classic Car Club of America, which itself was founded in 2003 as the only official BMW club in the USA solely dedicated to classic BMWs. Being a member of the Classic and Type Section of the International Council of BMW Clubs, our club is officially recognized by BMW.
The Club’s mission is to promote the interest in, the ownership of, and preservation of classic BMWs, as well as to encourage their use and visibility. We do this mainly through the organization of and the participation in specific events, and the publication of a quarterly magazine THE ULTIMATE CLASSIC. We are in constant contact with other BMW clubs in order to keep our members abreast of events and happenings in the US as well as abroad. A strong emphasis is being place on social contacts between members. The Club also maintains a register of members and their cars.
While our interest is mainly BMW cars (and their derivatives) which were produced up until the 1970s, we recognize the need to keep up with “modern times” in order to guarantee the future of our club. So we also welcome BMWs from the 1980s and rare and interesting BMWs that have been dubbed as “future classics.”
We are a membership-driven organization of volunteers. Members are strongly encouraged to inform us about what’s happening in their regions and in their garages, as well as to provide us with material for our magazine THE ULTIMATE CLASSIC.
