Through January 27, 2019: The ICON - 50 Years of the 2002
Our friends at the BMW CCA Foundation are in the midst of putting up an exhibition for the 50th Anniversary of the BMW 2002.
The Foundation has selected 25 of the best, the rarest, and the most tastefully modified 2002s. Jackie Jouret has written the book which will be available for purchase from the BMW CCA Foundation on opening day.
Don't miss this exhibition, there won't be a second one like it.
Some fifty club members got together at the annual Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance the first weekend of November to celebrate the 50 years of the BMW 2002 and the 40 years of the BMW M1. Of course the 50th anniversaries of the BMW E3 and the E9 were not forgotten! Several members took the long scenic route from Savannah, via Charleston to Hilton Head Island. Read all about the event in the upcoming issue of The Ultimate Classic due to arrive in December 2019.

Also at Hilton Head Island, the young Romanian artist Adrian Mitu unveiled his latest BMW art project "Blue One" depicting the development, the production, and the racing successes of the BMW M1.
This third work of art is now on display at the BMW CCA Foundation Museum in Greer, SC, along with his previous works "Blue Coffee" celebrating 100 years BMW and "Blue Hero", an installation dedicated to the years of Jochen Neerpasch with BMW.
